    BaseCamp in a nutshell!

Access to over 148,000 hi-res larger photos including 1,762 hi-res photos for Bowman Lake. The vast majority of campsites offer between 9 and 25 photos per campsite showing all site angles and a 2.5X zoom to check out specific details. This allows you to check out a campsite in greater detail to help answer questions such as:

    • is the site level?
    • does the site drop off or rise up from the road?
    • what is the site entrance like and will I be able to get my rig on the site easily?
    • what does the site look like from the interior not just from the road?
    • how large is the site? Will it fit my equipment?
    • what obstacles such as trees and rocks will I have to deal with in the site?
    • where is the fireplace on the site and what shape is it in?
    • Where is the the electrical outlet located? How far is it from the site pad?
    • how close will I be to my neighbours?
    • what's across the road from the site?
    • is there a watertap on or nearby the site?
    • is there a washroom by or nearby the site?
    • what's the road like?

For campsites on the water or that have water access:

    • is there water access and how easy is it to access?
    • what is the pathway to the water like and how long is it? is it overgrown, level or steep?
    • is there a beach on the site? how big is it? is it private or shared?
    • what is the water view from the site or shoreline?

The original Bowman Lake photos were taken in the spring on May 17, 2016. As such consider that the leaves on the trees are not fully out. If you are camping at Bowman Lake in the summer, you can assume that there will be more shade and site privacy on sites that have deciduous trees. Much of the new photos taken in 2022 were taken in August or September and will show full foliage. Use the photos from 2016 to get a better view of the overall site and entryways.
