Site 8 (max 35ft site) is close to the water with a level pad and entry and offers little privacy from neighbors and a little privacy from the road. Partially obstructed view of Lake Champlain. Site is wide and deep with a slightly narrow entryway. There is a short slightly sloped path down to the water leading to a large shared sandy beach overlooking Lake Champlain. Water access is excellent and the water is shallow (sandy) The shoreline would be suitable for storing a canoe/kayak up on the shoreline.

Ausable Point photos were taken in the spring on May 20, 2015. As such consider that the leaves on the trees are not fully out. If you are camping at Ausable Point in the summer, you can assume that there will be more shade and site privacy on sites that have deciduous trees.
