Money Down at RV Canada PDF Print E-mail

Well back at home... and having discovered that we now have a local Airstream dealer, we decide to see if RV Canada can come up with the 'right price'. Essentially we decided that we'd buy the Airstream back home in Ontario IF the dealer could match what we could get it for in the US (off course considering exchange etc).

Actually I was quite surprised! Back home MRSP on the 75th was absolutely ridiculous. In short order we made our offer and it was soon accepted. We knew we had a unit available.. actually 2 units available across the border, but we're willing to order one from our local dealer if he could come close on the price.

Talk about a fast decision! It had been less that a week to research and find the perfect trailer!

I must say that the modern look of the Safari and CCD line just didn't cut it for us. The Safari had cloth interior on the ceiling and a plain wood decor which we didn't like. The CCD was nice... but too modern and reminded us of 'Ikea'. Whats with the color scheme these days? Well I guess most people like them... or they wouldn't be building them! Thats ok... we had David Winick to rescue us.

Well money is down.. we are committed. A few days later we hear delivery will be  around the 3rd week of August... uugh... no problem! That gives us time to research a hitch and what not...

Looking back, we really weren't going to do this.. I mean purchase an Airstream until next summer, but the 75th was THE unit for us.. and considering they were limited to 75 production units, and the last units would be finished production in the fall, we didn't think we should wait.
